Tom S. Fox
Strangely, they are not.
That was exactly the issue I had with season 2's 'Sweet and Elite'.
"Oh my goodness! I'm so dreadfully embarrassed for my uncouth friends!"
"Who? The princess' personal protegé, this years Best Young Flyer, Equestria's latest supermodel sensation and those two Earth Ponies?"
Irrespondible With a Vengeance... of Muffins!
Well, yeah, they must be famous in all Equestria, but who knows? Maybe news are just too slow there...
Despite apparently existing for real, Miss Daring seemed to occupy a different reality. Frexample Ahuixotl's plot involved controlling the sun ...
This actually fits my head canon a lot better than the actual episode did! (I always thought that Daring Do wrote her own books.)
Why don't more ponies treat the mane six like this all the time?
Of course they are. Especially Rainbow Dash, who's well-known as the trainer of the Wonderbolts.
No, his plot involved a magical heat wave. They never mentioned the sun specifically.
There's a fanfic I enjoy that had Daring Do as a real person (though not as the author) where Daring squee'd almost as hard as this over Dash. Was a cool moment when they finally met up in the fic.
And she didn't even notice there was an alicorn in her house!
I was honestly hoping for something at least similar to this to happen in the episode.
I think Daring Do was trying to psyche RD out here.
You'd think this is what would/should have occurred. I'd love for there to be an episode making what the mane six would be for their heroic fames, etc.
OMG I died of laughter. I think they are famous because of all the things they did.
Firestorm "Danger" Dash
I think the Elements of Harmony are still myth to normal society if nothing else. They are like Celestias special tactics force.
I guess the Mane Six not knowing that Daring Do is real explains why nopony knows the Mane Six
Supreme Chancellor of kingdom of All Things Nerd
Well, they sure ought to be!
I didn't think it was odd that Daring didn't recognize them. I mean she's a hermit who lives in the jungle and probably talks to no one but her agent. I was under the impression during the episode that Daring didn't even live in Equestria.
I wonder...perhaps Daring Do lives outside Equestria's boundaries? What if Equestria is actually just a kingdom for ponies, as oppose to being the entire world? Plus I'm sure it's hard to get news of the outside world, what with living alone in the middle of nowhere in and always off on an adventure...
Well, I think they're famous in their own cliques. Twilight would be well known in the Royal Courts and Scholastic settings for obvious reasons, Rainbow would be famous in the sports world as an up-and-coming rookie with a lot of potential, Rarity is a fashionista and socialite, Fluttershy is probably know by every animal in Equestria, Applejack is at the head of the largest agricultural family in the country, and Pinkie Pie is probably considered a legend for the parties she throws.
How could I forget how awesome Rainbow Dash really is?
You're Discord's buddy, Shutterfly.
Hahaha, this issue is too hilarious.
famose? only in ponyville... and anyone in the castle of canterlot... theyre not WORLD famous.
Would be ironic if we got a episode where A.K Yearling did some payback by doing this.
You're a fan of someone you believe is awesome which in fact the one you are a fan of is actually a fan of you because you're awesome.
Ugh, my head.
Daring Do explores ancient ruins and writes the books Twilight gets her prophecies from. The archeologist translating the writing on the walls of the tomb for days on end usually becomes deleted scenes.
well that nice backfire
cbsadiecat... My facepalming so hard there. Equestria was *never* the ''planet''. It always was a nation/country, and this is even more official with the map that came out some months ago. -_-
Ha Ha! Dashie. Seriously though, it would TOTALLY happen like this, too.
If daring do is so into powerful ancient artifacts, this scenario should be a given...
I'm trying to remember if this happened in Young Indiana Jones.
Well, I was wondering why the mane 6 aren't famous
Actually, my headcanon for why it didn't happen is because she has tried to uncover the EoH in the past, and is upset that rank, arrogant amateurs made the discovery of the century.
I've been thinking about this, myself.
@Lazy Name yes, he actually did, he said the sun shall shine down on the valley for 800 years.
@BK If that were the case, why how did she publish books and make contact with her publisher?
Is there an RSS for this?
And the funny think is, this comics what is making fun of the episode make more sense than episode itself.
A exchange of autographs would be nice.
i used to draw ponies in this exact style. now i draw them more like the show, except for the eyes. i draw the eyes in my own style.
This shows that Rainbow Dash is more awesome than Daring Do
yeah, i was wondering about this. in fact, when i saw the end of the episode and saw the cover, i thought 'so much for making it seem like this was fiction. you just pu a famous pony in your book.
It's actually not uncommon to have real "people" in fictional books. It ties the book more to the real world and thus makes it seem more like something that could be real, but everyone knows it really couldn't because it's fictional.
I wish Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity would be real.
That's not Daring Do and Rainbow Dash, that's a Daring Do and Rainbow Dash cosplayer that finished reading the latest book. XD
Okay, so for those of you getting upset about the "fame" of the mane six, let me ask you this: Who among you can tell me who any of these people are WITHOUT looking up the names?
Ernest A. Janson
I could list more. Honestly, that last one is the only one that I think some people might know.
Oh my gosh! I love this !!!!!!!
you forgot sombra how dare you
Is that why she looks like a Dash recolor?
Come to my facility. We'll see there, who you are.
My headcannon is that Celestia does supress the news a little, so the Mane 6 can live normal lives outside the spotlight. And that ponies are a bit too complacent: did NOPONY else ever read that book at the start, and maybe think it ws the 1000th year as well? Not one other pone in Equestria??
One fanfic I read said that Celestia basically hid most of the stuff they did from the general population so they could live normal lives...however Twilight was VERY publicly coronated and nobody seems to care...so the real answer is probably just, pony.
Rainbow Dash is a fan of Daring Do, and Daring Do is a fan of Rainbow Dash! Weird.
It is so true. The mane six should be famous, respected, and loved by all for saving Equestria and everything else.
Creative Commons does not protect this work, Hasbro has All Rights Reserved. Just saying. . .
I have a headcanon where any and all episodes that so much as even mention the elements of harmony are just acted out mini-movies, and that MLP is a sitcom for kids, an dthat the mane six are just regular mares, who happen to star in each of those movies, and once they're done, they go on living their normal lives, so no, the mane six are NOT famous...
@Hieronymus Both of whom are still element bearers and one of whom can break physics...
Nerdderrific, Derpalicious, Adorkable
WERE THEIR ADVENTURES AIRED OVER EQUESTRIA???? NOOOooOooOoOOoOooOooOoO.
Thats a turnup 4 the books XD \)^3^(/
This made me laugh
Knew it. I was totally shocked!
